Early response to cardiac with CPR from bystanders has been shown to have a significant impact to outcomes.  If performed immediately, CPR can double, if not triple the chance for survival.

Place your hands in the center of the victim’s chest, push hard and fast (2 inches @ 100x/min). Allow the chest to recoil between pushes by lifting your hands.
